What's New at Buck Bald Brewing?

We had an incredible time at Tallahassee Beer Fest and were thrilled to come home with two special honors from the event.

Yikes, Bobby! IPA was named the Clear IPA Champion at the Tallahassee Beer Cup. We're proud to see Yikes, Bobby! recognized among so many great beers and breweries.

Buck Bald Brewing was also selected as the Founder's Favorite, making an already memorable weekend even more special for our team.

A huge thank you to the organizers, judges, volunteers, and everyone who stopped by to enjoy a Buck Bald beer. We had a blast sharing a little taste of the mountains with Tallahassee!

Buck's Frosty Balls Takes GOLD at the 2026 North Carolina Brewers' Cup!

We're excited to announce that Buck's Frosty Balls Cold IPA has won a Gold Medal at the 2026 North Carolina Brewers' Cup!

This one feels especially good. Frosty Balls earned a Silver Medal at the North Carolina Brewers' Cup in 2024 — and this year it came back and took GOLD.

And 2026 has already been quite a year for our frigidly good Cold IPA. Frosty Balls has now earned three awards this year:

• Gold Medal - 2026 North Carolina Brewers' Cup
• Silver Medal - 2026 Carolinas Championship of Beer
• Gold Medal - 2026 Untappd Community Awards, Tennessee

Coming Soon: Buck Bald Brewing's Ales for ALS IPA

Another beer for a great cause is headed to the tanks at Buck Bald Brewing! Next week, we'll be brewing a special 6.1% ABV IPA as part of the Ales for ALS program.

Ales for ALS brings breweries together in support of the fight against ALS. Participating breweries create special beers using a unique hop blend, with proceeds helping support ALS research.

Our Ales for ALS IPA is scheduled to hit the taps in early September. We'll announce the official release date and more details about the beer as we get closer.

We're proud to put the brewhouse to work for another worthy cause, and we can't wait to share this one with you. Drink a beer. Help fight ALS.

Cheers for Chimps Is Coming to Buck Bald Brewing!

We're excited to welcome Project Chimps to our Murphy taproom for Cheers for Chimps on Friday, September 11, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM!

Project Chimps provides lifelong care to chimpanzees at its sanctuary in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and we're proud to help support their work with a special evening at Buck Bald.

Tickets for Cheers for Chimps are available directly through Project Chimps and include a souvenir beer glass or koozie, a $10 Buck Bald Brewing gift card, a small snack, and a meet-and-greet with the Project Chimps team. Additional food will be available for purchase from a food truck.

Peanut Butter Paws Is Brewing for a Cause!

There's a new beer in the tanks at Buck Bald Brewing! Today we brewed Peanut Butter Paws Peanut Butter Chocolate Stout, a special release created for this year's Bikes & Brews fundraiser in Murphy.

Join us on Saturday, September 12, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at our Murphy taproom for the annual Bikes & Brews event hosted by the Nam Knights of America MC - Appalachian Chapter. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Georgia Police K9 Foundation.

Peanut Butter Paws will be on tap for the event, bringing together rich chocolate stout character and peanut butter in a beer brewed especially for a cause that's close to our four-legged friends in law enforcement.

The afternoon will also feature live music from Stars & Scars, smash burgers from Big Head's Grub, raffles, silent auctions, and a grand drawing for an ESP guitar signed by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
